We had a good crop of wild grapes growing just down our lane. Usually the wild animals get there before we do, but this year the crop was big enough for all of us.
First we took turns climbing the later and picking the grape clusters.
Then we sat in the shade and removed the stems.
Next, we will make some yummy wild grape jelly. Winter is always a little bit easier when you can pop open a jar of summer. And the flavor of wild fruit is outstanding.
I love it when fresh and organic also happens to be free.
