We celebrate Valentine's Day "Family Style" at our house. My husband and I never could bring ourselves to cut the kids out of the celebration when they are a product of the love we are supposed to be celebrating -- so we make them a part of the festivities.
May-May made us all a wonderful Valentine's Day Tea Party for lunch:
And the best part? I didn't have to make it!! Having teenagers around is the best thing ever!!
Tonight it's my turn. I will decorate the dining area in red & white, and make a special meal and dessert, complete with dinner music. After I have them all stuffed full, I will send the kiddos off to another room while I set up a treasure hunt. The clues will be written on red hearts, of course. When they figure out the clues and follow them to the end, there will be a Valentine's Day Surprise waiting for them. My kids love holidays!
I hope you have the best Valentine's Day ever, complete with cheesy red & pink hearts!
