Hand Made Christmas Gift Ideas

So you've decided to make some of your gifts yourself this year.  But what should you make?  There are lots of ideas floating around on the internet that would make great hand crafted Christmas gifts.  A quick tour of Pinterest will give you more ideas than you could possibly manage, even if you worked daily from now until Christmas.  But just in case you find all of that a bit overwhelming, I thought I would give you a short round-up of some of the tutorials here on Gallimaufry Grove that would make great gifts.  Most are fairly quick, easy and straight forward.

You could give any of these as a stand alone gift, or you could package several together.  For instance, you could put the salve, scrub and candle together in a basket with a loofah sponge -- instant home spa!  You could package coordinating Beaded Hair Sticks and Hair Bling Bobby Pins in a decorative drawstring bag.  You could give a loaf of fresh bread and some Apple Butter together as a set.  The list goes on.

You could also put a hand made item in a basket with purchased items.  For example, you could sew an apron and put it in a basket with some wooden spoons and other kitchen items.  Or you could make a glass tile necklace that coordinated with a top you were giving.  The possibilities are really only limited by your imagination and the tastes of the person to whom you are giving the gift.

Of course, the standard food items are always nice:  Cookies, pies, quick breads, etc.  A basket with home baked sour dough bread and dipping oils is a great combo, too.  I would be thrilled to know if you decide to use any of the ideas you found here!  Let me know how things turned out in the comments.
